Inspired by visits to Lexington, Virginia, I wanted to capture the thrill and surprise I felt when coming upon this stand of trees in early afternoon light.
This painting was inspired by many visits to one of my favorite trails in Big Cypress Preserve. It’s impossible to capture the sense of life and magic of this place without constantly shifting one’s point of view and perspective.
