Near Jonesville is from a series of small landscape paintings in oil based on a cross country car trip in June of 2022. The linear nature of this barn set against the landscape caught my attention. I’m in awe of the drive and will of farming families who seem to conjure up a full life, sense of place and service to others like magicians pulling rabbits from hats.
